Where to Find House of the Enlightened Chest in Starfield

The “Raised Enlightened” Starfield trait gives you access to the House of the Enlightened chest at the start of the game. Where do I find the House of the Enlightened Chest in Starfield?

The “Raised Enlightened” Starfield trait is a character creator option that you can choose that has your character following a humanity-focused philosophy instead of religion. While it mostly affects dialogue choices, the character trait also gives you access to a special House of the Enlightened Chest full of items about an hour into the game. In Starfield, the House of the Enlightened Chest is located in the Well on New Atlantis.

To find it, fast travel to the New Atlantis spaceport. After getting off your ship, pass through the US Security checkpoint and head north until you see the Jemison Mercantile store. Walk to the right side of the shop, where you will find an elevator tucked away in the corner. Once inside, select “The Well” and visit the underground city. After exiting the elevator, walk down the staircase and immediately take a left to find the House of the Enlightened building. The House of the Enlightened Chest can be found inside the philosophy center.

You will be able to find additional House of the Enlightened chests on other planets, such as on the Mars colony of Cydonia. However, if you choose “Raised Enlightened,” you will lose access to the Starfield Sanctum Universum Chest, which you get for choosing the opposite “Raised Universum” trait.

Starfield is available now for the Xbox Series X and PC.
