After beating the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Indigo Disk DLC, you can catch Pokemon Sword and Shield Isle of Armor Legendary Kubfu. Here is where to find Kubfu in the Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC.
Kubfu location in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Kubfu is located by the Fury Falls Paldea region fast-travel point in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. After you beat the Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC, you can obtain the Kubfu Snack item from an NPC named Snackworth at the Blueberry Academy. Once the key item is added to your inventory, the Isle of Armor Legendary will spawn in the Paldea Region map.
Despite hinting about “bamboo,” though, Snackworth doesn’t actually tell you where to find the Galar Legendary in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Thankfully, the Pokemon isn’t too difficult to track down if you’ve already beaten the Gen 9 RPG’s main story.

How to unlock Kubfu in Pokemon Indigo Disk
However, before you go rushing off to Paldea’s bamboo forest, though, there are a couple of prerequisites you must complete before Kubfu will start appearing in your game. Below are the steps on how to get Kubfu in the Indigo Disk DLC:
- Defeat the BB League’s Elite Four in the Blueberry Academy Terarium.
- Battle with Kieran and become the new BB League Champion.
- Travel under the Great Crater of Paldea with Carmine, Ms. Briar, and Kieran.
- Catch Terapagos and reach the game’s end credits scene.
- After completing the Indigo Disk campaign, fast travel to the Blueberry Academy entrance.
- Look for an NPC in a blue suit named Snackworth and speak to him.
- He will give you a Legendary Snack. It is random, so you may not get Kubfu at first. You’ll get a new Snack for every 10 BBQ quests so keep trying.
- Switch to the Paldea region map and fast-travel to Fury Falls in North Province (Area Two).
- Find Kubfu in the overworld next to the Fury Falls sign and interact with him to trigger a battle.
Can Kubfu be Shiny in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?
Unfortunately, Kubfu is Shiny-locked in the Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC. This means that Kubfu can not be Shiny hunted in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Despite being released over three years ago, Game Freak has decided to keep the Isle of Armor Legendary’s Shiny form locked for the foreseeable future.
In fact, all 25 Legendary in Pokemon Indigo Disk are Shiny-locked, as the Snackworth spawns are static encounters. So, if you plan on hunting the Legendaries in the Indigo Disk DLC post-game, you cannot obtain their Shiny form.
