Maraith is one of the most powerful Dark-type Pals in Palworld, but it’s difficult to get if you don’t know where to look. Here is where to find Maraith in Palworld and how to catch it.
Palworld Maraith location
Maraith is located in the Astral Mountains in Palworld and only spawns at night near the Pristine Snow Fields fast travel point. So before you head out to catch the Dark-type Pal, you must wait for the sun to go down. Maraith also typically spawns at levels 36 to 40, so you will need to be high level before you can catch it.
Another hurdle you must overcome is the Astral Mountain’s freezing temperatures. To not take damage, you must craft the Cold Resistant Metal Armor at level 27, which requires 40 Ingot, 8 Cloth, and 8 Ice Organ. While you can technically hold a torch to prevent freezing, this isn’t ideal, as you must put it away when battling Maraith. Once you have everything you need, head to the Pristine Snow Fields warp point and wait for nightfall.

How to catch Maraith in Palworld
Before you even attempt to catch Maraith in Palworld, its recommended that you at least be level 40. Even if you are that level, be prepared to have a tough fight with the Dark-type, as it’s extremely powerful. Because of this, you should bring a Dragon-type Pal with you as Maraith is weak to its attacks.
We recommend Dinossom, as the Dragon Pal can be found in the game’s opening area at around level 17. Although it’s a starting area, Pal, it should be around level 35 if you keep it in your party and have reached this section of the game.
Below are the steps on how to catch Maraith:
- Fast travel to the Astral Mountains’ Pristine Snow Field warp point and wait for nighttime.
- When a pack of Maraith spawns into the Snow Field, immediately throw out your Dragon Pal.
- Use the single-shot rifle to attack Maraith. The gun is unlocked at level 36 and can be crafted with 20 Refined Ingot and 5 Polymer.
- Once you get its health down to 10%, withdraw your Dragon Pal so it doesn’t knock Maraith out.
- Throw an Ultra Sphere at it, which is unlocked at level 35. The high-level Sphere can be crafted with 5 Paldium Fragment, 5 Refined Ingot, 2 Carbon Fiber, and 3 Cement.
From my experience, Maraith also seems to spawn on the map in groups. So it can’t be stressed enough that you must be at a high enough level before you try to catch the Dark-type Pal. Even at level 40 I struggled a few attempts before finally catching it. If you struggle to bring down its health, you can also use the Incendiary Grenade, which unlocks at level 41.
