Where to Find Raptor Steel in Sand Land

During the early game in Sand Land, Raptor Steel is one of the scarcest and most important materials, needed to craft or upgrade your roster of vehicles. In particular, Raptor Steel will be vital in order to craft your Jump-bot and your Motorbike, two vehicles that gate progression of the main quest early on.

How to Get Raptor Steel in Sand Land – Exact Location

The most reliable way to find Raptor Steel is by crafting it from the workshop you can set in Spino City, but if you haven’t unlocked it yet, there are several workshops set around the world. The earliest workshop you can find is located in the Lisab Junker Market. You can find the exact spot to craft materials here:

There are three different recipes for Raptor Steel, and these are the following:

  • 1 B-Grade Steel + 2 Raptor Scales
  • 1 B-Grade Steel + 1 Puraptor Scales
  • 1 B-Grade Steel + 1 Alpha Raptor Scale

Unfortunately, the first batch of items available in the Lisab workshop doesn’t include Raptor Steel, and you can only craft it after you have created your second vehicle, the Jump-bot. However, it is very likely that you might be in need of Raptor Steel to build the aforementioned bot.

If that is the case, the only feasible way of obtaining Raptor Steel in Sand Land by this point is by gathering it from various quest rewards, finding it inside a chest in various outposts around the Tort Region, or facing mobs of enemies on vehicles until they drop it.

In my playthrough, I had explored most of the Tort Region, leaving me with no option but to farm for it from enemies located in Spiral Mountain. It is similar to the process I used to find parts for the Jump-bot. You can find Spiral Mountain here:

Sand Land is now available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. A demo of the game is also available.
