Like Eevee, Riolu is a Pokemon that you can find rather early in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, but you won’t head into Wild Zones to get it. Instead, you can either search certain spots on rooftops to collect one or catch an Abra in Wild Zone 5 to trade for one.
How do I find a Riolu in Pokemon Legends: Z-A?
There’s an easy way to get a Riolu and a hard way. The easy is to head to the roof of the Passage Ombrage shopping center in the Rouge Sector 4 region. It’s not far from the Poke Ball Boutique and Restaurant Le Yeah. Head up to the roof there. I repeatedly found a Riolu on the southwest most corner during the day.

The Riolu you find there should be between level 15-20, depending on when you stop by. It will become hostile if you toss a Poke Ball and it doesn’t catch immediately, so prepare for a pretty easy fight.
The more difficult method means first catching an Abra in Wild Zone 5. Then, when the Rouge Sector side mission 24 called “An Abra Playmate” appears, head there. A kid named Bond at Academie Etoile, near the Rouge Sector 2 shops, will trade you a Riolu for an Abra.
