Where to Get Coral Milk in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s bread-and-butter gameplay revolves around cooking or preparing delicious treats for your Sanrio friends. There’s quite a few collectable resources to find in the many different biomes the islands possess. Finding new ingredients for your dishes expands the variety of gifts you can make. An item you’ve never cooked with before can create a gift satisfying more of a particular character’s preferences, granting a greater friendship gain than lesser dishes. Coral Milk is one such item, but it isn’t easy to find; a few quests need to be completed first. Here’s where to get Coral Milk in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. It begins with getting to Rainbow Reef.

Coral Milk, as the name implies, can be found in the Rainbow Reef. Unfortunately, this area is largely inaccessible until you can complete several quests, and obtain two key items: the Flippers and the Snorkel. This is a more involved process than it seems. Both require you to raise your friendship with multiple island inhabitants, collect an abundance of resources, and complete a significant part of different quest chains. Below is a brief list of the important prerequisites so that you can plan in advance:

  • Raise your friendship with Keroppi and Chococat to Level 1.
  • Raise your friendship with Badtz-Maru, Pochacco, and Tuxedosam to Level 2.
  • Raise your friendship with Kuromi to Level 4 and Level 6 to unlock two different quests.
  • Collect and hold onto 10 pieces of Rubber, 2 Sparks, and 2 Ingots.
  • Complete Kuromi’s Level 4 quest, and Chococat’s Level 1 quest.

With all this in mind, you will steadily unlock the “Finding Flippers” and “Deep Diving” quests. These will reward you the Flippers and Snorkel crafting plans, respectively. The standout challenge is raising Kuromi’s friendship to level 6. Depending on what you give her, this can take several days without utilizing Friendship Bouquets and Blossoms. An easy gift you can make for Kuromi is the Jack-O-Lantern. You can use five Pumpkins to craft a Jack-O-Lantern. The crafting plans for the Jack-O-Lantern are found in a chest in the Spooky Swamp, near the pumpkin patch.

After collecting the Flippers and the Snorkel, head back to the Resort Gate fast travel point and walk North off the pier and into the water. With the Snorkel, you can now dive underwater to collect Coral Milk! Coral Milk spawns in abundance near the Comedy Club area of the Rainbow Reef. You can see the top of the Comedy Club from the surface of the water. It’s located a few paces North of the Resort Gate pier. If you’re having trouble finding it, the screenshot below marks its location on the map for you. Amongst the stone architecture surrounding the Comedy Club will be the Coral Milk, usually sitting atop a blobby, green structure with blue spots and red coral jutting out of it. Try swimming the perimeter of the Comedy Club to find plenty of Coral Milk!

Diving consumes a great deal of stamina, and if you haven’t found many Stamina Apple Slices, could prevent you from effectively harvesting Coral Milk. There’s a simple workaround you can use. Stamina usage is doubled when diving and moving at the same time. It’s better to dive straight down without moving in any other direction to conserve stamina. Once sufficiently below the surface, take note of any Coral Milk nearby. Swim back up to the surface, and position yourself over the location of the Coral Milk you want to collect, then dive straight down and pick it up. This makes it easy to collect Coral Milk without worrying about your limited stamina.

Try to raise Hangyodon’s friendship to Level 6, and complete the quest this unlocks to restore the Comedy Club. This rewards you with a special outfit that drastically reduces the stamina consumption of swimming underwater. Hangyodon’s companion ability also increases your swimming speed! Rushing his friendship levels will make harvesting items in the Reef much easier.
