There are three types of bed echos you can learn in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, which are the Old Bed, Soft Bed, and Zelda’s Bed, but you may wonder if one is best. The answer depends on how you’re going to use it.
Where do I find the three types of bed echoes in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom?
This part is pretty simple. You’ll happen upon two of the beds during the main campaign. The third one appears at the Gerudo Desert oasis. You can make a copy of it when you visit the Tough Mango Plant Lab minigame building. (However, you’ll also see it in general in some Gerudo Town homes.)
Here is exactly where you find each one, as well as the cost to summon each of the three beds in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
- Old Bed (Cost 1): Hyrule Castle dungeon and basement. This is one of the first five echoes you’ll learn as Zelda goes on the run and escapes. It heals at a rate of a half of a heart at a time when you choose to rest in it and wear the Silk Pajamas outfit, and a fourth of a heart if not.
- Soft Bed (Cost 2): You find this in the Gerudo Desert region, in particular in the Tough Mango Plant Lab building at the oasis. It heals at a rate of a whole heart at a time when you rest in it with Silk Pajamas, and should heal at half a heart at a time without.
- Zelda’s Bed (Cost 3): You find this in Zelda’s bedroom at Hyrule Castle after you repair the rift and rescue her father the king. It heals at a rate of two full hearts at a time if you make Zelda sleep in it in pajamas, and one heart if not.
And here’s a gallery of screenshots I took, showing how each bed looks when you see it or use it in the world.
Which bed is best in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom?
As I mentioned earlier, the best bed for your purposes in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom depends on why you need to create and use one. If you want to use it as a platform while exploring, taking advantage of the fact it is a 2×1 item that you can stack like a staircase, use as a raft, or place as a bridge, then the Old Bed is best. If you are trying to heal Zelda, then I think you should use Zelda’s Bed.
This comes down to cost, since all beds are at about the same level of durability. An Old Bed costs one of Tri’s energy. When the character is at level 9 or higher, you can have five or six Old Beds out at once. It’s fantastic for platforming and getting around.
Zelda’s Bed is unparalleled when it comes to healing in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. So if your goal is just to recover for a bit, find a safe spot. Place this more costly bed down. Rest for a few seconds. She’ll be at full health again in no time.
