Who Are All the Geo Characters in Genshin Impact?

There are not many Geo characters in Genshin Impact, as the element has been fairly under-used so far in each region of Teyvat. The earth-based class can be used to buff your teammates’ attack damage, while also protecting them from damage at the same time. However, there are still some hanging around! Here are all Geo characters in Genshin Impact that you can pull.

Which characters are Geo in Genshin Impact?

Even though the second major region you visit in the game is the Geo-themed Liyue, the Earth element actually has the least amount of characters in Genshin Impact. As a result, options are more limited compared to the other elemental classes in the HoYoverse title. That said, you should not sleep on Geo as it can actually provide a lot of strategic utility in battles. When Geo characters’ elemental reaction Crystalize is triggered, teammates will receive a shield that protects them from incoming damage.

It gets even better as you can additionally trigger the Enduring Rock buff whenever two Geo characters are on your team. When active, the Elemental Resonance increases your team’s damage by a staggering 15% while also decreasing enemies’ Geo RES by 20%. Most importantly, Geo characters can protect DPS characters, such as 5-star hero Wanderer Scaramouche, from being knocked out of their attack phase. Shields can be incredibly useful in Genshin Impact and make it easier to set up more complex elemental reactions without interruption.

These are all of the Geo characters in Genshin Impact:

  • Albedo: 5-star Sword user (Mondstadt).
  • Gorou: 4-star Bow user (Inazuma).
  • Itto: 5-star Claymore user (Inazuma).
  • Ningguang: 4-star Catalyst user (Liyue).
  • Noelle: 4-star Claymore user (Mondstadt).
  • Traveler: 5-star Sword user (Liyue).
  • Yun Jin: 4-star Polearm user (Liyue).
  • Zhongli: 5-star Polearm user (Liyue).

Of those eight characters, all of the 4-stars are constantly available. You also get the Traveler for free, but must reach Liyue and a Statue of the Seven to get the Geo ability. Albedo, Itto, and Zhongli are only available as featured 5-stars.

In terms of the best Geo character, Liyue Archon Zhongli continues to stand out as the best in class. The 5-star Polearm user not only provides one of the strongest shields in the entire game, but his Elemental Skill Dominus Lapidis also helps lower enemy defenses.

Inazuma’s Arataki Itto is also another great pick, as he’s one of the strongest DPS users you can have on your team. When paired with Albedo and Gouro, the outlaw can dish out staggering amounts of damage.

Genshin Impact is available now on the PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Android, and iOS.
