“Party”, when used for a video game title, is almost synonymous with mini-games. Wii Party, an upcoming title from Nintendo, has those plus “living party” games according to a retail description.
HMV lists three creative games, which should get players to interact with their friends in a different way.
Wan Wan Card Game – This game plays different animal sounds out of the remote’s speakers. Players have to figure out which sound matches the animal on the screen.
Remote Control Hide and Seek – One player hides the remote and the other players have to find it by listening to sounds coming out of its speaker.
Sensitive Bomb – Players have to gently pass the remote to each other as if it was a bomb. Shake it too much and it explodes!
There are a total of six living party games in Wii Party, which means Nintendo has three more to reveal. Wii Party also includes over 80 mini-games. Nintendo will release Wii Party in Japan on July 8. A North American release has not been announced at this time.
