The Wild Arms series is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and creator Akifumi Kaneko appears to be teasing a little something for it on Twitter, with talks about a meeting that recently took place. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

“So anyway, I’m just getting back from a Wild Arms meeting,” Kaneko tweeted. “The participants included myself, Naruke-san [composer Michiko Naruke] and everyone’s favorite promoter, Nishijima-san [Taku Nishijima of Sony].”

“It was a night full of emphasis on ‘this is the series’ 20th anniversary, man!’. It was certainly cold outside, but we were definitely getting heated up.”

While he doesn’t specifically mention anything that is in the works, it’s interesting to hear about how they gathered for the occasion. Some of you may recall that Kaneko mentioned a couple years ago that he’s been working behind the scenes on a certain something, as he thanked fans for voting for the Wild Arms series, which managed to reach the #2 spot for sequels and remakes they’d like to see most in a Famitsu poll.
