Infinity Nikki is a charming open-world adventure centred around the theme of dressing up. You will invest a lot of time exploring the world of Miraland and collecting resources to create outfits. But you might be wondering if Infinity Nikki will get a multiplayer mode like other free-to-play titles such as Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves, as it’s pretty fun to play these styles of games with friends. The answer should be straightforward, but it’s a bit complicated.
Is There a Multiplayer Mode in Infinity Nikki?
A few online features are present at launch, but they are very limited. You can add friends and send them in-game messages. When you’ve finished a story-related quest, you can see other players’ photos by interacting with particular spots scattered across Miraland and can even take pictures with them. But that’s about it.
To be able to add friends, you will need to reach the part of the storyline where Dada gives you the Pear-Pal as a gift for joining the Stylist Guild in Florawish. Once you’ve got your hands on the Pear-Pal, open up the tablet and click on “Friends”. If you already have someone’s friend code and want to add them, select “Add Friends”. It will then give you the option to enter their friend code.
On the same page, you can create a friend code for someone else to add you. You will want to pick the “Get Friend Code” option. This will create a one-time-use code for someone to add, expiring after two days. You can also look at your blocklist by pressing the icon next to “Add Friends”.
Will Infinity Nikki get a Multiplayer Mode?
At the time of writing, the developers have not confirmed any plans to add a multiplayer mode. However, before the release of Infinity Nikki, the PS5 listing stated you could play with up to “5 online players”. But this information has now been removed from the store page and has been replaced with “1 online player”. This might have been an accident, or perhaps this could signify that a comprehensive multiplayer mode might be on the horizon. Only time will tell, but for now, Infinity Nikki is a single-player experience, and you shouldn’t jump into the game expecting anything else.
Infinity Nikki is now available for Android, iOS, PS5 and PC.
