While 3DTV owners have to pay extra to play Pain in stereoscopic 3D, 3DTV updates for Wipeout HD and Super Stardust HD are free in Japan. Downloadable updates on June 10th will make both games support 3DTVs. The 3DTV update for Pain, known as Mr. Pain in Japan, costs 300 yen ($3.30).

A specific date has not been set, but sometime this year the PlayStation 3 will also receive an update to play 3D Blu-ray movies.
