As part of Summer Game Fest 2027, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja confirmed the sequel Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember. It will show up on the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. It’ll launch in early 2027. There’s no exact release window to pin down if it could be in the first or second quarter.
The first trailer for the game showed up at the event. That primarily consisted of what appeared to be gameplay footage. It also meant an opportunity to see a revival element, which seemed to be tied to a phoenix. This suggests all the supernatural elements woven into the first game will remain intact.

The original game showed up in March 2023. That was on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. It was set during the Han Dynasty after the Yellow Turban Rebellion. So the sequel will mark the first appearance of this series to show up on a Nintendo platform.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember will come to the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in early 2027.
