Square Enix showcased some live gameplay footage for World of Final Fantasy at Jump Festa 2016 this weekend, and we got a look at some familiar faces in their chibified forms. [Thanks, Gematsu.]

The footage shows some battles at the “Forest of Lights” dungeon, where we get to see the protagonists go up against Final Fantasy X’s Yuna, and get help from Final Fantasy VIII’s Squall who appears as a summon.

World of Final Fantasy also features Gems used to capture monsters, along with abilities of captured monsters to help you get your way through dungeon obstacles. On a side note, Square Enix mentions that the load times for battles are long in the footage, but they’ll be shorter in the final version of the game.

World of Final Fantasy will release in Japan in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
