Panstasz shared a massive free update for World of Horror called As Below so Above ahead of Halloween 2026, bringing the game up to 1.2. This brings new old gods, more playable characters, Scenario Mode, and more Steam Workshop mod support. The patch is available now on PC, and it’s unknown when we’ll see it on the Switch, PS4, and PS5.
Scenario Mode is a prequel for World of Horror campaigns. These let you go through certain stories tied to events we encounter. The one mentioned is Forest of Fear / Tapes of Tragedy and stars Makoto.
As for the others, hints at what to expect came up. There will be two new old gods. One is The First Nightmare Ikt-Yosis. Two of the three playable characters were teased, with one being the hiker Satoshi and the other a tarot card reader named Kiriko.
There are a number of screenshots Pansatsz shared showing off some of the new additions in the World of Horror As Below so Above update. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect once you download the update. As a note, this addition is expected to make the game 20% larger.
World of Horror is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC, and the As Below so Above 1.2 patch is out on PCs now.
