Europe got a worldwide Virtual Console first this week, Joust I mean Balloon Fight. It’s hard to dismiss the similarities between the two games, especially considering Midway’s arcade game came out years before Balloon Fight appeared on the Famicom. One thing separated Balloon Fight and made it a classic, Balloon Trip where you fly over electric spikes. Not sure if this is really worth 500 points revisiting, the Adventures of Lolo is arguably a better choice.
Japan gets three extra titles this week including Shining in the Darkness, which was delayed from last month’s release schedule. Sega mentioned Shining in the Darkness is coming out in North America too, but a release date has not been announced yet.
