Xbox 360 Elite coming to Japan at a cheaper price

The Xbox 360 Elite has been out in North America for a few months with a price tag of $480. On October 11^th, it arrives in Japan with a price tag of 47,800 yen ($389). The price difference makes the Elite about the same price as the 20 GB Xbox 360 Pro outside of Japan. Ouch. But the USA does have the Xbox Live Video Marketplace, which makes good use of the 120 GB hard drive. Japan along with the rest of the world doesn’t have much content to fill it up with besides demos and high definition Halo 3 trailers.
