Xenosaga KOS-MOS Model Kit Returns in May 2027

Kotobukiya has revealed that it will bring back its KOS-MOS Version 1 model kit. Originally released in August 2014, the model kit based on her appearance in Xenosaga Episode 1 will be available again in May 2027 with a tax-inclusive price tag of ¥8,580 (~$54.55).

This is different from the kit re-released in late 2025, as that was based on Xenosaga Episode 3. This kit is modeled after KOS-MOS’ appearance in the first Xenosaga entry that Namco released for PlayStation 2 in Japan in 2002 and in North America in 2003.

When one completes this 1/12 scale model kit, it will have a total height of 16 cm (~6.3 inches). The package also includes KOS-MOS’ weapons and an alternate abdomen part that replicates her X-Buster sequence, as well as alternative face parts that show her altering eye colors and the Fatima Glass Mode.

The owner will also be able to equip a full set of gatling guns on the completed kit. However, doing so may require support from an MB-38 character stand, which Kotobukiya sells separately.

The KOS-MOS Version 1 model kit from Xenosaga Episode 1: Der Wille zur Macht will be available once again in May 2027.
