Yes, another belated April Fool’s joke, but Xseed’s didn’t get as much coverage. On April 1, Ken “Strawberry” announced XXXSEED games and a new focus on “x-treme dating sim games with RPG elements.”
Here are the two titles Xseed plans to launch on February 31, 2011.
Concept: Find love in the open, desolate dust bowl of the Great Depression.
Key Features:
-Large, open, literal ‘sandbox’ world to explore
-Choose from a veritable bevy of single or recently unattached companions
(Example- Farmer’s 6th unmarried daughter, widowed stockholder’s wife, etc)
-Magical date scenarios unfold along the lonely road to California
-Multiple endings (Join the union or work as a strikebreaker- which will YOU choose?!)
Concept: Two girls and their quest to capture convention mascots any way they can.
Key Features:
-Huge E3-like convention space within which the player may bag as many gaming mascots as they can.
-2 employee-types available to choose from
Kuri-chan: Small and sprightly
Jess: Insane and, well, insane
-Hundreds of weapons to utilize in the chase
(Flamethrower, potted plants, squeezable Onii projectiles, etc)
