Yakuza 5 Might Be A Better Idol Sim Than The Idolmaster

Namco Bandai eat your heart out, Yakuza 5 also has an idol training portion where you play as Haruka Sawamura. This part of Yakuza 5 has less skull smashing and more fan meetups. Haruka will respond back to fan comments as she shakes their hands. You can also participate in TV shows to boost your popularity and practice dance moves. Haruka will meet other dancers who challenge her to dance battles. Win these and you can boost Haruka’s stats before taking the stage. Haruka’s chapter sounds pretty much like an idol life simulation to me.

Of course, there’s more to Yakuza 5 than dancing your heart out. The game has four other characters and plenty of bad guys to beat up. Yakuza 5 comes out for PlayStation 3 on December 6.
