At Anime Expo 2019, Yen Press announced during a panel that it would be releasing two Persona 5 mangas outside of Japan in 2020. However, it has now taken to Twitter to confirm this isn’t the case. The company will not be releasing Persona 5 a la Carte or Persona 5: Mementos Mission in 2020.

Yen Press noted that both announcements were a mistake. It is not the license holder for Persona 5 a la Carte or Persona 5: Mementos Mission. This means that the only Persona 5 manga series confirmed for an English release is the Hisato Murasaki adaptation Viz Media will begin releasing in 2020.

Both of these additional Persona 5 mangas deal with stories that aren’t canon. Persona 5 a la Carte is an anthology of slice-of-life short segments that is more comedic. Persona 5: Mementos Mission follows an original story by Rokuro Saito that looks at the Phantom Thieves as they take on new missions. It is still running in Japan.

Viz Media will begin releasing volumes of the original Persona 5 manga in 2020.
