Jibanyan the cat yokai from Yo-kai Watch is rubbing his paws in money. Level-5’s RPG series is even bigger with Yo-kai Watch 2. As of July 31, two million units of Yo-kai Watch 2 have been shipped in Japan. Splitting the game into two versions a la Pokémon likely contributed to more copies of the game being shipped.

Level-5 sold 1,829,533 units of Yo-kai Watch 2 in Japan according to the most recent data from Media Create.
Since the series is so big, we wonder if Level-5 is considering to bring it to the West. Siliconera found a Yo-kai Watch trademark registered in the US earlier this year too.
