Nintendo has revealed it is localizing Yo-Kai Watch 3 on the same day the free Moon Rabbit Crew update comes to Yo-Kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps and White Dog Squad. On February 8, 2019, Yo-Kai Watch 3 will leave Japan and appear in North America. The European release window is currently “this winter.”

Yo-Kai Watch 3 does something rather new for the series. It divides the story between two locations and characters. In one half of the game, we see Nate, Whisper, and Jibanyan in a town in the USA. In Nate’s segment, people can find a whole new group of Yo-Kai, referred to as ‘Merican Yo-Kai in the Japanese version, can be found. In the other, we follow new heroine Hailey and her partner, Usapyon, in Springdale.

There were three versions of Yo-Kai Watch 3 released on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan. Sushi and Tempura were released first, then followed by a definitive Sukiyaki version. Nintendo did not reveal which version or versions will be released in February 2019.

In addition to the Yo-Kai Watch 3 announcement, Nintendo has released a new Yo-Kai Watch Blasters trailer for the Moon Rabbit Crew update.

All three versions of Yo-Kai Watch 3 were released on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2016. Yo-Kai Watch 3 will come to the Nintendo 3DS in North America on February 8, 2019 and Europe “this winter.”
