Yo-kai Watch Jam – Yo-kai Academy Y: Wai-Wai Gakuen Seikatsu is coming to PS4 later this month in Japan, but those who prefer owning physical copies might want to wait a little longer. Level-5 first presented the game as a digital title, but both the PS4 and Switch versions will get a physical release in Japan on December 17, 2020. The latest issue of CoroCoro provides additional details. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

The price for a physical edition of Yo-kai Watch Jam is just 4,800 yen, which is on the lower side for physical copies in Japan. The Nintendo Switch version of the game released in Japan on August 13, 2020, so the game has already been out for a short while. The PS4 version of the game will arrive a bit late but it will include the first free update DLC “Elze is Coming – Multiplayer Mode” at launch. The update adds an online multiplayer mode, new story episodes, characters, and dungeons.

The physical copies of Yo-kai Watch Jam will include all of the updates on PS4 and Switch versions leading up to its December 17 release date.

Yo-kai Watch Jam – Yo-kai Academy Y: Wai-Wai Gakuen Seikatsu will release for the PlayStation 4 in Japan on October 29, 2020. The game is currently available for the Nintendo Switch in Japan.
