There may have been some delays along the way, but Yooka-Laylee finally has received its final release date. Playtonic Games has announced the Nintendo Switch version will be available on December 14, 2017. This comes after a confirmation back in February 2017 that it would be on the platform in 2017 and a September 2017 delay caused by issues with Unity.

Playtonic Games also talked about what people can expect in the Nintendo Switch version of Yooka-Laylee. It noted that both Nintendo and Unity stepped in to help with optimization of the game. All of the updates that came to previous versions, like the camera and control tweaking, will be there. All eight multiplayer games have single Joy-Con lay. There is even a custom Achievement system, since the Nintendo Switch does not have Achievements or Trophies otherwise.

Yooka-Laylee is immediately available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
