With Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, people who preordered received a special tonic called Yooka 64. It offered a new character model inspired by N64 games, as well as changed the look of the game in the same way that the original Yooka-Laylee’s 64-bit Tonic. Now, due to people asking about it, the Yooka 64 model in the new game’s tonic will be added to the original Yooka-Laylee.

Playtonic Games confirmed the addition on Facebook. The basic 64-bit Tonic,  which adds a shader to the game, is already available on the Nintendo Switch and PC. Playtonic is working on an update that will add the Yooka 64 model to that, and it shared a screenshot showing the Yooka 64 model with 64-bit Tonic.

The developer also confirmed that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the 64-bit Tonic are still planned and in the works for Yooka-Laylee. It still doesn’t have a launch date yet. Once it does arrive, it will also include the Yooka 64 model.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair and Yooka-Laylee are available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
