Playtonic Games has opened up about Yooka-Laylee, its first game. First, it won’t meet its expected October 2016 launch window. The PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Wii U, and PC game has been pushed to the first quarter of 2017. The decision to delay was made after the developer decided to spend a few more months polishing the game.

While Yooka-Laylee won’t be arriving on schedule, it’s E3 2016 trailer has been made available ahead of the June 14, 2016 event. In the almost two minute trailer, we get to see in-game footage of Yooka and Laylee going through levels and interacting with NPCs.

In Yooka-Laylee, Yooka and Laylee are attempting to collect Pagies to save Hivory Towers’ Grand Tombs from Capital B’s Diabolical Publishing Corporation and Dr. Quack’s Quack Corp. If they don’t, Capital B and Dr. Quack will turn all of the world’s book into profit.
