You’re The Last Human Alive In Indie RPG Underbirth

Indie game Underbirth sets players as the last human woman alive left on Earth. And it was all made in RPG game maker RPG Maker VX Ace. If all you care for are the visuals, skip to the 1:20 mark.

The old-school, pixel-art game stars players as Serene Dawn. Monsters known as the Carnage have wrecked the Earth, and it’s your job to turn the tables and re-create humanity.

Dev Guillaume Arseneau notes that he’s tried to make the game as non-linear as possible, setting the game in an open world. There’s plenty of secret areas to discover and caches to find.

Battles also will revolve around how you equip Serene and the skills that follow. This lets players choose from multiple fighting styles. You can also use alchemy to craft stuff up.
