Ys Origin Switch Release Date Is October 1, 2020

In the midst of all the Super Mario Nintendo Switch news on September 3, 2020, Dotemu had an important Ys Switch announcement. A port has a release date. The Ys Origin Switch release date is now October 1, 2020.

Here’s the official Dotemu reveal on Twitter, which was accompanied by a very short trailer looking at the action-RPG running on the Nintendo Switch.

This might actually be a bit earlier than folks expected. The Ys Origin Switch version was first announced back in July 2020. Dotemu confirmed there would be a Limited Run Games physical run, with the game itself launching in 2020.

Of course, Limited Run Games isn’t the only company with a physical release planned. There will also be one from Strictly Limited Games. That collector’s edition will give people the game, a diorama featuring the main characters, and a few pins for folks to wear.

The Ys Origin Switch release date is October 1, 2020. If people can’t wait, they could immediately pick up the prequel and go through it on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, or PC.
