Ys VIII Is Headed To PlayStation 4 In Japan On May 25 With Improvements And New Features

Recommended Videos

The PlayStation Vita version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana released in Japan back in July, and Falcom announced during a general shareholders meeting today that its PS4 version will release on May 25, 2017.

The PlayStation 4 version of the game will see an overall enhancement in quality with 60fps, which should fix the noticeable frame rate drops the game suffered which was one of its biggest criticism from players of the PS Vita version.

In addition to better frame rates, the PS4 version will have higher resolution, better graphics and controls, anti-aliasing, point light, soft shadow, volumetric lighting, and more.

The PS4 version will also include new story bits that will tell us more about the female protagonist Dana’s past, as well as a new “Control War” feature, where you’ll get castaways to assault an enemy base, and other new features that will allow you to further enjoy original PS4 modes for Ys.
