As part of the many, many trials available during Steam Next Fest 2026, a Zenonia 1 demo appeared. This is an opportunity to test out the reimagined and restored version of the RPG. It lasts for about an hour.
While the original Zenonia came from Gamevil, this new release is handled by CFK and Com2us. It’s an updated version of the game that pulls from the original. As such, we can step into Regret’s shoes again as an Assassin, Paladin, or Warrior and avenge his father. As a result of that task, he eventually heads out on a larger quest to save the world.
As this is only a Zenonia 1 sample, only a brief portion of the game is playable. We basically can go through a slice of the early part of the game. This means getting to go around the early Adonis region, which comes after getting out of Ayles and past Garlic Lake. We can investigate that area, but the announcement noted we can’t pursue the Seal of Deceit.
The first game in the series first appeared on mobile devices in 2008. It then showed up on other platforms like the DSi as DSiWare and as a PlayStation Minis title for the PS3 and PSP.
Zenonia 1 is in development for PCs and a demo is now on Steam.
