Mana Khemia plus something comes to the PSP

We haven’t got Mana Khemia in North America yet and Gust is already working on a port. Mana Khemia: Gakuen no Renkinjutsu Shitachi Portable Plus heads to the PSP sometime this summer in Japan. As the “plus” in the title implies there is something extra in the PSP release, but details have not been revealed. However, the Famitsu report with screenshots mentions there is an ad-hoc mode, which points to new multiplayer features. Hopefully, these will be something more than item trading.

By the time Mana Khemia PSP arrives in stores Japan would have had the PlayStation 2 version for about a year. Will Mana Khemia 2 follow the same pattern in 2009? If this port sells well it’s entirely possible. If you were thinking about buying Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis next month does this information affect your purchasing decision? Remember, NIS America publishes PSP games too.

I have both the PSP and PS2 and would MUCH rather buy this for PSP… I don’t have a lot of time to spend in front of a TV and when I do, it’s usually for the Wii!

I already ordered the American PS2 limited edition, but really I could not fathom playing this on a PSP.

I could not fathom playing this on a PS2 myself. I don’t have a lot of time to sit in front of a TV, and when I do, it’s usually watching TV. I’ve got probably a half dozen PS2 rpgs I haven’t touched, and probably a dozen I haven’t finished.

I’ll also throw in a hopeless cry for Ar tonelico II. =(
