We *might* see Tales of Hearts in North America

toh.jpgTwo years in a row Namco Bandai released a new Tales game for the DS in Japan that never got localized in North America. I can live without Tales of the Tempest, but why skip over Tales of Hearts? The strange mix of adult looking CG characters and staple 2D cheerfulness is intriguing. Japan is scheduled to get Tales of Hearts this winter. Shortly after it was announced Namco Bandai trademarked the name in North America. Hmm… I doubt Namco Bandai would spend money to trademark Tales of Hearts just to tease us so it’s going to be used for something.

Take a look at a trailer of what we might see next year in English. All of the names are conveniently romanized so we can uniform the spelling of Shing and Kohak.

It’d be great to get Hearts, we’d finally see a Team Destiny Tales in english!

I never understood why Hometek went with Radiant Mythology over the bevy of other avaialable handheld Tales either… I really think they’d have been better served with Innocence or the PSP ports (most of which never came here anyway).

Third time’s the charm? :p

Agree with you jarrod. Radiant was okay but other than it being 3D I can’t understand why it would get localized over the PSP versions of Destiny 2 or Rebirth. And skipping Innocence just seemed really odd.
Anyway, I’m a huge fan of Tales so here’s hoping this leads somewhere.

Pichi Says:

Oh, I wanted Tales of Innocence!! Good that ToH comes over, but I would have loved it more of ToI came here. If ToI ever does get here, I will be forever in love with Namco!

It’s good to hear that a tales game may come to this part of the world, but I’m agree wih Pichi and jarrod, I’ll prefer TOI.

Pedro Silva Says:

they trademarked Tales of Innocence as well though

RiceBoi Says:

Really hope this makes it over here. Hope Tales of Symphonia 2 and Tales of Vesperia do well here and Namco Bandai will be more inclined to bring the other games over.
