Try Tales Of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon Cross Right Now

By Spencer . July 20, 2010 . 12:53am

imageTales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon Cross is two games on one UMD disc and Namco Bandai wants you to test both of them before it arrives in stores.

The first demo let PSP owners try another version of Tales of Phantasia. This demo is far more interesting since it’s a sample of Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon. Namco Bandai remade the Game Boy Color game, which also happens to be the first Tales spinoff, for its tenth anniversary. Similar to the more recent Tales of the World games, this is a dungeon crawler.

V-Jump has the file you need. Head here and look for the links in the picture below. Click on one or the other to get a zip file. Unzip it and copy the directory NPJH90130 to your memory stick and (presto!) Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon.

  • Awesome. I played the Phantasia X demo and enjoyed how fluid the battles felt. I honestly hope Namco releases this in North America at least…

    • kupomogli

I’m sorry. Namco Bandai hates you. Namco Bandai hates everyone that doesn’t speak Japanese.

    • We didn’t get ToP: Full Voice Edition.. And TotW: Radiant Mythology 2.
I wouldn’t put my hopes up if I were you

      • The only Tales of games that Namco Bandai released are: Tales of Destiny(psx), Tales of Eternia (psp and psx),Tales of Symphonia (GC), Tales of Phantasia (GBA), Tales of Legendia (ps2), Tales of the Abyss (ps2), Tales of the World (psp), Tales of Symphonia : Dawn of the New World (Wii) and Tales of Vesperia (Xbox360)

        • holyPaladin

Tales outside Japan if I’m not mistaken?

U forgot Tales of Phantasia (GBA), Tales of Symphonia (Gamecube) and Tales of Symphonia : Dawn of the New World (Wii) :p

          • I forgot them, thanks for the imformation

          • kupomogli

Nevermind. You guys were just listing what we’ve got, not what Namco released.

        • Joanna

And I heard we only got Phantasia for GBA because Nintendo persuaded them to release it. Pretty sad that another company has to persuade you to release your flagship game. :(

    • malek86

By getting your hopes up, you guys are just hurting yourselves further. Why not let go already?

  • I am in such an abusive relationship with Namco Bandai because of Tales. I like Tales, you see. I loooove Tales. Strictly speaking, I’ve never played a Tales I didn’t enjoy on some basic level. Yet at the same time, the publisher comes home and savagely wails on me with a studded belt for half an hour every night.

And even so, I can’t bring myself to well and truly break it off.

  • Well, i know Namco Bandai wont bring this one up… But at least i hope this sells well in japan, i want “tales of” series to recover D:

  • Tales of Destiny will always be my number one Tales! too bad they didnt give us the remake on PS2 :(

  • goronyan

If you have time, interest, a little extra money and patience. I strongly recommend start learning another language (in this case: the japanese). It’ll expand your horizons and there’s no cons to you if you’re really addicted with their “pop-culture” (be it games, music, books or whatever).やれば出来るじゃん♪(笑)Sorry but, My hope for some good games come to the east already faded away.

    • sorry, cant write in hiragana/kanji in this laptop T.T…. japanese time!!

Soreya!, ore ni okane wo kashite kudasai >;D wwwww (>3.3)> <(*w*<)ww

I wonder if i will ever understand why is the "wwww" the japnese's "lol" o.o…

      • Kibbitz

w for warau (笑う), I believe

        • goronyan

          ぴんぽん~ that’s correct
