Yakuza: Of the End Gets A Famitsu DX Bundle

By Ishaan . January 23, 2011 . 3:00pm

Yakuza: Of the End is getting one of those exclusive Famitsu DX bundles. These are sold exclusively via Famitsu’s online store, and usually come with some sort of neat bonus item packed in.

In the case of Of the End, it’s a sturdy-looking stainless steel tumbler with series-inspired Rising Dragon and Wisdom design motifs engraved into it. Additionally, pre-ordering Yakuza: Of the End from the Famitsu store will also net you a Dragon Song: Yakuza Karaoke Best Selection soundtrack CD, containing music by the game’s voice cast, based on different characters. You can look up the full selection of songs on the disc at the game’s page on the Famitsu store.

The Karaoke Collection will be limited in quantities, so it’s an incentive for those that pre-order the game early. Yakuza: Of the End hits Japan on March 17th. The DX bundle comes for 8,790 yen.

  • Wow they get such cool bonuses, a CD from the voice cast, awesome dude!

  • Damn, wish we could get those.

I hope it also comes with a special note that says when will they finish this Yakuza franchise and silent it off into the unreachable darkness.

    is that a cup?

so badass please localize this Sega :P

    • Bruce

i think Sega is smart enough to realize that the western world loves killing zombies , it won’t take it long to localize it .

  • Barrit

I never really cared much for zombies, but this game looks really fun!

Hmm…am I the only one who feels that bonus items for games are getting a bit silly nowadays? Either there are just too many “limited edition” sets whereas in the past there weren’t, or else the quality of the items themselves is just diminishing. I seem to recall some 10 years ago, that LE goods were really something interesting, like a figure or a concept design book or whatnot. But now adays you have things like a poster or this (a cup). It really seems like the Japanese market has started to copy the American market, and the American market has copied the Japanese market.

Sega needs to release this and Black Panther. Both would be a day one purchase for me.

I rarely go after all the trophies unless I really love a video game, so being one of my favorite PS3 games, I just went back to Yakuza 3 to finish off all the rest of the trophies. I just finished mini game master and have mod weapon, all the top lockers, and finish on extra hard to get platinum.

Other than Batman Arkham Asylum and Yakuza 3(almost,) the only other games I’d have a platinum trophy if they were available are Armored Core 4 and Armored Core 4 Answer. I have S ranks on literally everything. AC4 and ACfA came out before Sony copied achievements from Microsoft, though.

  • I’ve yet to start the trophies for Yakuza, are they difficult? I’ve got Platinum trophy for Bayonetta!

Famitsu? The game magazine. I know they’ve had accusations of selling good reviews through dubious means, but this takes the whole cake.
