Dream Trigger 3D Trailer Explodes In A Blitz Of Colours

The very first shoot-em-up being developed for the Nintendo 3DS comes courtesy of developer, Art Co., and is being published by D3 Publisher sometime this spring.

Titled Dream Trigger 3D, the game looks like a drug-induced hallucination, and has you playing as a “fixer of dreams” to “end the nightmare-ish attacks before being consumed completely.” Dream Trigger 3D has stages with names like “Purity Tranquility” and “Isolation Anxiety.”

D3 Publisher released a trailer for Dream Trigger 3D this week, and the embargo’s officially up, so here it is! Dream Trigger 3D will come with 50 stages, and will also include a two-player mode where you compete for points.

Everything just feels so basic. The music is awesome, but otherwise, I can not see how it is able to feel the need to deem itself worthy of being in the next generation of handheld shooters with mind warping 3d (mind warping, what what?!)

Any idea how you play this? D-pad/Circlepad/Stylus? I want this to be the 3DS ver. of Big Bang Mini. An amazing neat little game that came out of nowhere.

Some shots give me the feeling, “this is how Space Invader Extreme would look like on the 3DS,” which is not a bad thing.
Definitely looking forward to more info on this title.

I’d kind of like to mention, the fact this game actually has an unexpectedly nice boxart opo; The game itself it’s a hard call to tell if it’s any good, it looks like it’s going for a 2D Rez thing, but doesn’t look intense enough opo; Seems like the type of game you have to play first hand.

i’m willing to play it just because its a shooter with wireframes and pixels.
But it has some interesting gameplay as well.
Such as using sonar to locate enemies.
