Funds Acquired, Digital Manga Reprinting Tezukas Swallowing the Earth

Last week, we reported that Digital Manga were running a Kickstarter drive in order to be able to reprint Osamu Tezuka’s Swallowing the Earth. This week’s Digital Manga newsletter confirms that the funds needed for this operation have been acquired.

 

Digital Manga haven’t mentioned when they’ll begin their reprinted run, but the Kickstarter drive itself will run until December 11th, which means you can still contribute. More money presumably means more copies reprinted.

    I’m not a fan of the manga, but it’s a great day when fans can work together to get something they want! It’s also great when small publishers take the initiative and start something like a Kickstarter Project. (◕‿◕✿)

    Like I said before, I hope other small publishers follow in their footsteps!

      Yeah it’s a pretty awesome thing :D Although digital prints are the new thing, this is another way that shows that there is still many people out there that still love printed manga.

        Yep! I personally will never adapt to digital manga. A digital collection is far more convenient, especially when going on trips, but I like tangible books, and they look better, too!

    <3333 FINALLY. I remember missing the window of opportunity literally by just thiiiis much when it went out of print.
