Nintendo 3DS sales: 63,796 | Total sales: 5,658,499

PlayStation Vita sales: 8,250 | Total sales: 659,671

Last week was a slow one in Japan, with no real high-profile releases to speak of. There were only two new games from Idea Factory in the top-20—Atelier Elkrone at #11 and Armen Noir Portable at #20, both for the PSP.

The rest of the top-20 consisted primarily of popular titles that have been showing an impressive ability to stand their ground as the go-to videogame products that more and more casual buyers continue to purchase week after week. For instance, Konami’s Pro Baseball Spirits titles on PSP and PS3 are still in the top-10, while Monster Hunter Portable 3rd continues to sell to PSP owners.

On the Nintendo 3DS front, Super Mario 3D Land, Monster Hunter Tri G and Mario Kart 7 continue to perform admirably, while newer releases such as Kid Icarus: Uprising, Harvest Moon: The Land of Origin and Hatsune Miku and Future Stars still remain on the charts. Expect to see some of these receive a boost from Golden Week holiday, which is coming up soon in Japan, as well.

The top-20 software sales chart for the week is as follows:
