Framed Final Fantasy IV Art By Amano Is A Square Enix Members Reward

By Ishaan . July 10, 2012 . 10:00am

The image above is of a framed piece of artwork for Final Fantasy IV, created by long-time character illustrator, Yoshitaka Amano. It’s one of the rewards for 2011 being given away by the Square Enix Members program in North America, which gives you points in exchange for registering your Square Enix games.

Also on offer is a Square Enix Members license plate and other rewards that you can find at the link above, such as a blanket, a Hitman Absolution mouse pad and a Square Enix lanyard.

  • The Grim Heaper

With the new site design, I’m not even sure how to figure out what rank I am.

only thing i hate about SE’s rewards program is that in order to even get anywhere near Ultimate you have to buy like every single version of every game released that year |:

  • Whoomp

That’s pretty nice of them, I have about 20 games registered on my European account and the only thing I’ve gotten (except from seldom relevant newsletters) are xbox avatar clothes for FFXIII.

  • OatMatadoQuatro

I never understood what was with Cecil and Kain’s lips. A tradition within Baron?

    • igotareallybigthingwithcars

Cecil’s lip (being violet, i pressume, is what you’re referring to) is from his lunarian heritage. I don’t know if it’s not very rominent in-game.

Great reward, it’s just so impossible to get anything.  I registered every single SQEX game I’ve purchased for this entire gen on 360, PS3, PSP, and DS all for last year’s drawing.  It’s a ton of games, believe me (I even got Lord of Arcana).  I even had a PS3 and a 360 copy of FFXIII registered.

I think I only got silver.  They sent me some stickers, and a Dragon Quest slime keychain.  It was a lovely piece of plastic to be sure; but I left … underwhelmed …

Agreed, it was MUCH easier to actually go up rank in the PS2 era, you know when they ACTUALLY RELEASED GAMES.  Hell I think the last couple years, I’ve only got like Bronze or Silver and Im a big fan of Square and purchase a lot of their games.  They really need to ramp up production and get more product out there.

I never thought a time would come when I purchased more Namco product than Square, not saying thats a bad thing since I love Namco too, but a few years ago I bought so much Square in a year that I never imagined ANY studio replacing them as the number 1 nemesis to my wallet.

  • You know SE, I’d like gifts from Final Fantasies that are not IV or VII.
    Thank you very much.

    • You do realize they don’t even have to give you and anyone else nothing, right?

EDIT: Actually, having a SE European account, I get nothing for registering my games. So….yeah. I’d be glad with anything at all, as long as it was complimentary.

      • As a kid with birthday presents not all of them can be stunning right? If I had this gift I’d say thanks and then throw it to the pile of reapetitive gifts.

  • Paradox me

As many games as it takes to get anything in the Members program, Amano had better come and paint my house.

I kid, I kid. I’d buy Square Enix themselves if it meant getting my hands on some Amano art. By far my favorite artist.

  • Awesome prizes there (Fangirling over the FFIV art) but the sad thing is I most likely got nothing as I got like 6 games on my SE account.

  • *looks at license plate*
That is so nice ;A; I wish SE EU did rewards like these.

  • rurin

If only I could see how many points I have T^T
These prizes looks so nice, too. A lot better than Nintendo Club x.x
