Cave Story creator, Daisuke “Pixel” Amaya, is working on his next game, titled Gero Blaster, for iPhone. The first trailer for the game is available now, and you can watch it below:

While Gero Blaster has only officially been announced for the iPhone, Nicalis also tweeted a picture of the game running on a Nintendo 3DS XL, and are also gauging interest in a Vita version.

The iPhone version of Gero Blaster is tentatively slated for release in May 2013, but Amaya says that this release window is a “maybe” for now.

just say no to virtual buttons…

    • PuddlesPuddles

I’ve played a bunch of side-scrolling action games with virtual left/right buttons, and they work pretty well. A virtual D-pad, on the other hand, is always a disaster. Try League of Evil and you’ll see L/R done right.

If they are going to release this game on 3DS, i will just wait for that version here. I am just bad at playing game on touch screen. Which is why the news of this game coming to platform with buttons is a blessing.^_^
