Last week, Sony Computer Entertainment released Freedom Wars for the PlayStation Vita in Japan. The game sold 188,888 copies in its first week, making it the second-highest debut for a Vita title, behind Bandai Namco’s God Eater 2.

Japanese sales tracker Media Create shares another interesting tidbit: according to retailers, Freedom Wars sold primarily to students, and slightly increased Vita penetration among that audience.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs sold 96,000 copies across three platforms—PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360. Of these versions, the PlayStation 4 version sold the most number of copies, opening at 63,595 sold. Media Create says the PS4 version sold through 78% of its initial shipment.
