If you go by the title character and selection of puzzles, you’d think Doctor Lautrec a sure Professor Layton clone. However, the Treasure Animatus battling and collecting is more Pokémon.

Konami have put out a web demo for their upcoming archaeological adventure.

Konami now have the game slated for December.

Dr. Lautrec will have to engage in turn-based battles against ghostly spirits.

Forgotten Knights’ story starts with a woman named Marie visiting Dr. Lautrec on day, bearing some sort of curious gadget that contains a map pointing to hidden treasure.

They sent out a reminder today with a trailer chock full of British accents.

Dr. Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights takes place in Paris, but these screenshots are in English.

Konami Europe describe the 19th century doctor as a “combative figure,” unpopular at the university he teaches.

Konami’s “treasure adventure” game has a flattering formula. Doctor Jean-Pierre Lautrec, the game’s star character, kind of looks like Professor Layton with his towering top hat.
