By Spencer . May 8, 2009 . 9:00am

A batch of media came with the release dates for Ys Chronicles I & II and Ys Seven. Neither game has been confirmed for North America, but Ys Chronicles I & II might be marginally easier for importers to pick up.

February is the month of Ys

By Spencer . November 28, 2007 . 8:13am

Interchannel and Falcom are publishing the Nintendo DS Ys remake on February 28, 2008. But it won’t be coming out alone. Ys II is coming out on the same day, which sort of makes sense since the two games are often bundled together. Except, this time they are sold separately as full priced games. I’ll [...]

Watch: Legend of Heroes VI: Sora no Kiseki second chapter trailer

By Spencer . August 3, 2007 . 2:46pm

More is better right? If that’s your philosophy then the Legend of Heroes VI: Sora no Kiseki should be the best PSP RPG around since it comes on two UMDs.

I have mixed feelings about the Legend of Heroes series, the battle system is kind of neat, but the stories in the first two were cookie [...]

Mastiff also announced that Gurumin dropped in price from $39.99 to $19.99, the same price as a greatest [...]

Gurumin: Tornado Kickin’ Good

By Rolando . March 3, 2007 . 5:27pm

I’ll be the first to admit that I was a bit skeptical towards Gurumin. I’d seen videos of the game prior to purchasing it and assumed that it was broken in gameplay and relied too heavily on its cutesy presentation; I also thought the game would be an instant bore and wouldn’t be able to bring me the [...]

Legend of Heroes III: End of a Trilogy

By Rolando . February 9, 2007 . 8:58am

Nihon Falcom has always been known for its intricate storylines and deep character relationships in their respective RPGs. I remember playing Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion back when it was released and noticed just how deep each character’s relation to each other was, and even the ending sequence to the game was something [...]
