One of Square’s early attempts at creating an accessible RPG is on Virtual Console today.

Square Enix is putting their recently filed Mystic Quest Legend trademark to good use. The made-for-beginners Final Fantasy game is heading to Virtual Console.

Long before RPGs had full-motion video as a lure, Squaresoft tried to broaden the genre’s appeal with a simplified Super Nintendo game called Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest.
