In A Zelda Game For Nintendo 3DS, “Having 3D Will Mean Something”

Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma, hints vaguely at what he has in mind for Zelda games on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
The CD will include select pieces of music performed at the upcoming Zelda 25th anniversary concert.
Nintendo announced release dates for both North America and Europe.
“This time we’re using the Wii MotionPlus to really make it based on the rhythm of strumming,” says Nintendo’s Eiji Aonuma.
“You will recover kind of these treasures or artefacts that you can then use as resources to upgrade your items,” says Nintendo of America’s Bill Trinen.
Most of this footage is from the E3 trailer, but there’s a few bits and pieces of new scenes…like that Goron.
“Link, Zelda and their other friends all go to the same boarding school, and you’ve got teachers and a principal as well. It’s a bit of a different setting from previous Zeldas,” says Eiji Aonuma.
Set in islands in the sky, a horse (unless it was Pegasus) wouldn’t work in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Nintendo has a mount for Link and in this game it’s a giant red bird.
Meet Lord Ghirahim, the guy Link is fighting with and called David Bowie by someone watching me play The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. In this boss battle, Link just met him too.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will release on the Wii this holiday, Nintendo confirmed at their E3 media briefing. A special gold Wii remote will be available as a promotion when the game launches.

During the Game Developer’s Conference keynote, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata took a break from his analysis of gaming trends to show attendees a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Skyward Sword is still on track for release this year.
