In addition to the contents of the TGS demo, this one includes an additional mission. A Q&A session was held at the event, too, which we’ll detail in a separate upcoming report.  In the mean time, enjoy the images of the event!

Here’s the venue, at SEGA’s headquarters:

Preparations are complete. Here you have the welcoming sign. No Valkyria 3 cosplayers to greet the press though.

Hold it! Looks like Riela (left) and Imca (right) have no plans of letting attendees down:

Can’t have military cosplay without an oh-so-kawaii salute!

Here’s a quick snap of the stage area before attendees started to pour in:

This looks like a pretty grand event. Each press table has two monitors, both with PSPs hooked up to them to allow people to try the game:

That’s Shinji Motoyama to the left, producer of Valkyria Chronicles:

This is the reception area. Attendees started to filter in around this time.

And the event begins!

Director, Takeshi Ozawa, and Motoyama are kicking things off. Riela and Imca look like they’re being put through their paces, posing for all the different photographers:

The Q&A session begins at this point. Expect details on this within the hour.

The press got to take a few goodies away with them, too. Valkyria 3 promo posters and a cleared save file. This can be imported into the full game. Also included were a SEGA pouch, a Sonic the Hedgehog pouch, and a mysterious white envelope…

Riela and Imca are put to work once more as the official photo shoot session begins. Wow, Imca’s model weapon is pretty massive.

Here’s another. Looks like Ozawa and Motoyama are feeling a litle more relaxed now:

Time to please the press with some fancy quotes!

Now, it’s time for people to go hands-on with the game at the demo stations. vc3_pro_017

Sort of an anti-climactic note to end on, but press passes! And passes for fans and support staff at the event.

And that’s that. SEGA are certainly pushing Valkyria 3 hard in Japan. Game details coming up in a separate report in just a bit!
