Samurai Warriors 4 Planned For February 2014 Release

Tecmo Koei producer, Hisashi Koinuma, has announced a release window for Samurai Warriors 4. Game Jouhou reports that Koinuma mentioned game on Twitter, and shared that, while this isn’t officially confirmed, Tecmo Koei hope to release it sometime during February 2014.

February 2014 is a ways off, but there’s a reason that Tecmo Koei are waiting—it’s because that period marks the 10-year anniversary of the Samurai Warriors series, which began in February 2004.

In the meantime, Tecmo Koei will release Samurai Warriors: Chronicles 2nd (above) for the Nintendo 3DS. That game is scheduled for release on September 13th, and has new generals, branching storylines with multiple endings, and enhanced character customization.
