The Pokémon Company has shared additional details on Mega Pidgeot and Mega Beedrill, two of the new Mega Evolved Pokémon in the upcoming Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games.
Mega Pidgeot:
When Pidgeot Mega-Evolves, it gains increased Special Atk. and Speed stats. Pidgeot can learn the move Hurricane, which creates a storm around its target and has a chance of causing confusion. Also upon Mega-Evolving, Mega Pidgeot gains the No Guard ability, which allows all moves to hit regardless of accuracy.
Mega Beedrill:
Upon Mega-Evolving, the poisonous stinger’s on Beedrill’s arms and legs grow, and new barbs sprout from its legs. Mega Beedrill gains a boost to its Attack stat. Additionally, the Bug-type move Stinger raises Beedrill’s Attack stat by two stages when it causes an opponent to faint and its Adaptability ability raises the power of its moves of the same type from 150% to 200%.
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released on November 21st in North America and November 28th in Europe.
