It’s been just a little over a month since the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, but Konami’s pachinko company KPE recently filed a trademark for “Big Boss.” [Thanks, Hachima.] 
Konami haven’t said anything regarding the trademark, which will cover games, trading card games, medal games, slot machines, pachinko, and board games. While a service rep for the company recently said that Konami will continue making high-end console games, and while that remains to be seen for now, it looks like we’ll more than likely see a Metal Gear Solid: The Pachinko Pain before getting a new game for the main series.
