Pokémon Sword & Shield’s CoroCoro Contest Will Have Fans Name A Brand-New Move

Recommended Videos

Pokémon Sword & Shield will introduce all kinds of new Pokémon as well as a bunch of moves for the new generation, and one fan will get to name a new move thanks to a CoroCoro contest. [Thanks, Serebii.]

While we still don’t have a scan from the magazine, we got some information on the data of the brand-new move:

Type: Steel
Category: Special
Damage: 140
Effect: Does major damage but reduces user’s Hit Points by 50%

Fans entering the contest will have until May 10, 2019 to enter. The only rule is that the name must be no more than 8 characters long, using Katakana, Hiragana, or the alphabet. The main winner will receive a copy of both Pokémon Sword & Shield while 20 runner-ups will receive one copy of either version.

Pokémon Sword & Shield releases in late 2019 for Nintendo Switch.
